Barkcoin Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Barkcoin website, wellness content, community features, and loyalty platform (collectively, the “Services”) operated by Barkcoin (“Barkcoin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of the Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Services and apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Access and User Accounts
A. Account Responsibility
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.
We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your account information.
B. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
3. Nature of Content and Disclaimers
A. Educational and Informational Purposes Only
All content provided through the Services — including articles, guides, reviews, community discussions, and health-related information — is for educational and informational purposes only.
The content is not veterinary advice, medical diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional care.
B. Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

Use of the Services is at your own discretion and risk.
4. Barkcoin Loyalty Program (Future Feature)
The following terms apply to the Barkcoin Loyalty Program when it becomes available:
A. Non-Monetary Credits
Barkcoin Credits are non-monetary, non-transferable, and have no cash or cryptocurrency value. Credits exist solely as a loyalty and engagement mechanism within the Barkcoin ecosystem and may be redeemable for certain rewards, discounts, or charitable contributions as determined by Barkcoin.
Credits may not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or converted into cash or digital currency.
B. Affiliate Tracking and Third-Party Transactions
Barkcoin may use cookies, referral links, and affiliate tracking technology to track engagement with verified third-party partners.
All purchases, payments, and transactions occur exclusively on third-party websites. Barkcoin does not process, store, or control payment information and is not responsible for third-party products, services, transactions, or fulfillment.
C. Program Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Loyalty Program, including credit values and redemption rules, at any time, with or without notice.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
A. Barkcoin Content
The Services and all original content, features, branding, and functionality are the exclusive property of Barkcoin and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any part of the Services without prior written consent.
B. User-Generated Content
If you submit or post content to public areas of the Services, you grant Barkcoin a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Services.
You represent that you have the right to grant this license.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Services:
- In violation of any applicable law or regulation
- To transmit spam, unsolicited promotions, or misleading communications
- To impersonate Barkcoin, its team members, or other users
- To interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
- To scrape, harvest, or misuse data or content for commercial purposes
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
7. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by Barkcoin. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.
Accessing third-party links is done at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Barkcoin makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability of the content or Services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barkcoin and its directors, employees, affiliates, partners, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:
- Your use or inability to use the Services
- Reliance on any information provided
- Third-party conduct or content
- Unauthorized access to user data
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services at our discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable laws.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
